We’re Paula, Tânia and Rui, a family that is completely in love in the breeding, divulgation and preservation of the Portuguese Breed: The Estrela Mountain dog.

It’s with great satisfaction that we are developing a serious and responsible work, trying to breed dogs that will fit inside the standards of this breed.

Our animals are treated like family members, and we dedicate them all of our free time, with lots of love and tenderness, all because we love what we do.

Socialization it’s a very important phase in the animal’s life. Our puppies are placed at a very early stage in different environments, so that in the future they’ll be ready for the many situations they’ll find. Because the pack transmits them very important information, the young ones enter in the pack around six weeks of age.

Our main gold is focus in the breed of animals that will in any way, fill the needs they are acquired for.
Trying to keep the character and functions of this breed and betting on the preservation of its characteristics, to avoid in some way, its uncharacterisation, either at a genotype level or a phenotype level.We also have another purpose: we think it’s important the divulgation of this Portuguese breed of dogs.

It’s for this reason that we go to dog’s shows where we enter in touch with the public, showing what is a ESTRELA MOUNTAIN DOG, and share our experiences with other breeders and breed lovers, exchanging knowledge that is very important in breeding
